any people are confused about the choice between Warmboard? and a staple food for radiant heating system. This article should help you in a straight line.
A Warmboard? system combines a complex structure with a sub-floor radiant panel into a simple system of heating by radiation. It? S essentially a strong and large, weather-resistant, 4 'X 8' sheet of plywood, with a series of canals dug in the page and a thick sheet of high quality aluminum, which is permanently glued to each pane. Aluminum is highly conductive. In fact, it is 30% more than most drivers of common alloys, but also cools quickly.
Warmboard? replaces the normal structural subfloor. It can be cut, nailed or screwed directly to your floor joists, as any subfloor.
Most Warmboard? systems operate with water temperatures ranging from between 90? and 110?, but if you are considering a wool carpet or other flooring high resistance, you can easily increase your water temperature and the use of your heating system efficiently.
Warmboard? also have two important properties - they have high conductivity and low thermal mass, meaning that we heat quickly and retain heat quite well, but not as long as the system of radiation embedded in concrete.
In comparison, a staple food for radiant heating system is the most unobtrusive radiant heat to install in an existing home. It will not be any height or call disrupt your flooring as it is installed below the existing sub-floor between the floor joists.
This system is perfect when you want to add radiant heat to your system without having to replace flooring or floor coverings. For example, if your basement is not finished, you can easily base radiant heat pipes between your ceiling, or floor joists.
A database system is not as sensitive as the basic method of aluminum, but it is more sensitive than the method of thermal mass - mainly because under-floor radiant heat needs to heat the wood sub - floor and flooring on top. For more heat radiates into your home, you want May to consider the installation of plate heat transfer.
Plate heat transfer will ensure that your heat lasts much longer. They are a better conductor of heat than wood, so that your house is not only the fastest heat, the heat also last longer if the transfer of plates were used.
Overall the two systems have their advantages. As far as work goes, a Warmboard? panel system would save time and labor? they are much easier to install, but depending on where you plan to install your radiant heating system, both Warmboard? subsoil and radiant heat systems is both clean and economical way to go.
