Understanding cash flow - and know how to make Cash Flow

statement of cash flows, sometimes it is another statement that investors should become familiar with. It is another tool for managers and investors, which shows how changes in the balance sheet and affect cash income. Cash flows are divided into three parts: operating activities, investing activities, financing activities and cash flows from each source. These changes are shown on the cash flow is useful in determining the immediate health of the business and its ability to function as a constant concern.

Operating activities are the production, sale and delivery of the company? S products. These are the regular daily activities of the company which has operations in the first place. This category includes people such as depreciation, taxes and amortization of intangible assets (such as brand name recognition).

Investment activities include purchase and sale of assets. Items here include capital expenditures and investments. All investments made on behalf of the company, including here. Purchases of plant, property and equipment are included in capital expenditure.

Financing activities represent the capital of the company. It is money from outside entities such as banks and shareholders and payments to the owners of the company (dividends). If the company made the purchase or sale of its own shares, it will be included here.

The cash flow statement will contain a base line, the net increase (or decrease) in cash. If a company has negative cash, it will pay its short-term problems of debt and have difficulty continuing to do business. That? S not to say it will fail, but will have to find other ways to generate cash to pay its bills. Remember, this statement does not give details of income, just how much money the company by hand.
